The netplay package includes an unofficial, modified mame.exe: official MAME 0.289 with a patch that fixes this game's protection chip (COP3), distributed under the GNU GPL v3 or later. It is not an official MAME release and is not affiliated with the MAME team. MAME is a registered trademark of Gregory Ember. Source: MAME 0.289 (tag mame0289) + the patch kit (how to build: the kit's README). The netplay\rb\mame.exe of rollback-netcode matches is the same source with the kit's patch/rollback.diff (in-memory state saves and loads for the rollback netcode) applied on top, distributed under the same GPL. The site's Play now page sends your browser the same modified MAME built to WebAssembly with Emscripten (play/seibucup.wasm, play/seibucup.js); the five small changes a browser needs and how to build it are in the patch kit's web/. The launcher (.NET), the netplay scripts (Lua), the web page and the game server were written for this project and are free of charge. The launcher, the game server, the web page and the netplay Lua scripts are distributed only from this site (seibucup.online); you may not modify them without permission or upload or redistribute them elsewhere (the Lua scripts in 2.0.69 and earlier stay under the GPL v3 terms they were released with). The modified MAME included with them (mame.exe, the rollback build and the web build) and the patch kit are distributed under the GNU GPL v3, so anyone may copy and redistribute them under the GPL's terms. A modified version must be marked as changed from the original and may not use the name "Seibu Cup Soccer Online".
